Thank you so much to everyone who attended our book launch party last Friday. Thanks to those who purchased our book and also to those who have pre-ordered our book from Amazon!

This weekend has been surreal.

Friday's party was a wonderful outpouring of support for our team. We are so grateful to everyone who helped bring this book to fruition. We truly hope that it will contribute to keeping important Japanese handicrafts and traditions alive.

Writing the book was a huge challenge for me. There were times when I didn't think we would make it. I'm grateful to my co-authors Yuko Sangu and Professor Kameda. I also owe a debt to our editor, Mr Kobayashi from Maruzen publishing. 

Our book is ranking as number one in our category. Thrilling is an understatement.

I'd also like to acknowledge and give thanks to my family who put up with a messy house and thrown-together meals for the past year. I thank my parents for listening to my stresses about the book and especially my mother, who flew from Australia to Japan to celebrate with me.
